CAFE ARTISTE SHOWCASE 1 MAY

The Random Hubiak performs Tuesday, 1 May 2018, at Cafe Artiste upstairs in the Jersey Shore Arts Centre. Also on the lineup: guitarists Nick Ryan and Tom Briant (both of Taylor Tote Band), songwriter Gwynne Alden, & local legend Adam Bro. $5 Admission, BYOB! Snacks and sandwiches for sale if you get hungry.

SINGER SONGWRITER OF CAPE MAY

2018 marks the year I was finally invited to participate in the Singer Songwriter of Cape May (SS Cape May) Conference. It was an honor to be included, and the event provided me a lot of useful information as both an artist and a business.

3RD PLACE: AMERICAN SONGWRITER MAGAZINE'S LYRIC CONTEST

"Dumb as Dirt and Slick as Oil (Coal Oil Johnny's Lament)" is a narrative of the life of Venango County notable Coal Oil Johnny, a rags to riches and back again story set in the hey day of the western PA oil boom. It took third prize in American Songwriter Magazine's first lyrics-only contest of 2018.
